Tonight I attended a meeting of the new organization - Prince Albert Christian Radio Corporation. The meeting started with Praise and Worship, then information about the new ministry. The intention is to start a Christian Radio Station in Prince Albert. This organization has a covenant relationship with Care Broadcast Radio Association, operating as CIAM - http://www.ciam.ciamradio.com/. This ministry will assist Prince Albert Christian Radio Corporation under the planned name Victory FM Radio to get on the air in Prince Albert Area.

Ah, i'm glad you were able to attend. I wanted to go but I was previously booked.
I was hoping to find out how the process is coming along. It's been a while since the first meetings were held. Sounds like a process is underway.
I am hopeful for this thing, it could be great for PA.
Thanks for checking my blog. I think you are the first one who has entered a comment. It was a good meeting.. Had some praise & worship to begin with. Meeting was short. They have partnered with CIAM. When CRTC approval is finally granted on a Transmitter site, and they have that up and running, I believe CIAM would start to transmit their programming locally via the internet. We would also be feeding them programming to broadcast via the internet. CIAM also takes care of training local staff, so that when a studio is completed we would have the people properly trained to do the job.
Did you check out the link to the CIAM Website? I do have some information from Walter Pope that is positive, but not final. I have been asked not to share it until it is finalized.

I work with CIAM radio in the High Level area. It is amazing to see CIAM radio in Saskatchewan!
I produce a program called the Southern Gospel lighthouse that is heard on CIAM radio. PLay a lot of content from Saskatchewan.
Do you by chance have a listing of Canadian artists in Saskatchewan?

Thanks Randy, for your comments. I am now on the Board. We are playing the CIAM Programs. Have had several local and Saskatchewan CDs submitted, and when accepted the with play on the full CIAM Network. One of our Board Members, Rick Lett, is himself a phenomenal musician and recording artist. He has a recording studio in his home. I am a member of 2 Men's Choruses that sing a lot of a variety of Christian music and I am hoping he will be able to record for both Choruses to produce songs suitable for broadcast on CIAM Network. I don't have a list of Saskatchewan artists.
