Time to get back to blogging.

Well it has been a long while since making an entry.
We have been blessed with above seasonal weather this past week. Sure would be nice if it decided to stay around for a while, but that might be too much to expect.
Back into the Fall activities of Men's Chorus, Men of the Way and Church Choir and Order of St. Luke.
Have been enjoying weekends off by changing my shift at the Prince CO-OP to Monday through Wednesdays.
Our 15 yr. old dog, Muffy has just been diagnosed with Kidney Disease and related liver problems, so now we are treating an old dog and an old diabetic cat.

Monday, September 17th

What a change in the weather - depressing heavy overcast with intermittent periods of drizzle all day and still going on at 11:00 pm. I went to Fountain of Life School of Ministry this morning to share a devotional. I chose to read an article from an issue of Sharing Magazine about God's Presence and Healing. This evening I went to our Men's Chorus Practice, but did not go out for Coffee with the Ham guys due to the miserable weather. Sure hope it clears up so that we can carry on with our plans to go golfing at Waskesiu tomorrow morning.

Prince Albert Men's Chorus

The Men's Chorus started up its 2007-2008 Season Monday night 7:30 pm (always the 1st Monday night following the Labour Day Weekend). It is directed by Bob Gibson and our accompanist is his wife, Lorna. We practised some new pieces and some old ones. We will be preparing for a concert in Shellbrook in gratitude for the number of members of the Chorus that make the weekly trip from that area to be a part of our chorus. I sing 1st Tenor.

Grandpa Duties

Last week and again this week, I have been going to my daughter's house to look after the grandkids prior to them walking to school. I have to be there by 8:00 am and make sure they are on the way to school by 8:30 am, set the alarm and lock-up. This morning worked perfect for meeting up with Dan Stroman to head out to the Golf Course. Tomorrow morning will be more difficult, since I am supposed to be at my Men's Bible Study a few blocks away from my daughter's house from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. I may have time to drop by for a cup of coffee with the guys on my way to my daughter's house, but breakfast and Bible Study doesn't look possible. Normally, their next door neighbour would be looking out for the grandkids, but they haven't returned from a holiday in Ontario. Coincidentally, the neighbours are Pastor Daniel and Lisa Graham from the Free Methodist Church. Daniel usually attends our Men's Bible Study.

Men of the Way

Well, the fall season must be getting into swing. Tonight we started up our Men of the Way Men's Chorus at St. Alban's Cathedral for another year. 6 of us showed up for the first practice, but we have around 10 members in the group. One gentleman comes up from Saskatoon to be a part of the group. We will be singing regularly once a month in the Worship Service and various engagements in the community.
